Projects

Domino Ensemble

The Domino Ensemble is a collective dedicated to new music. The group has a flexible instrumentation depending on the sound of the different projects. That said, there is a core group of musicians that have been a constant (and unique!) contribution to the group from the beginning. Since its inception in 2018, the group focused on commissions, performances and educational workshops transiting the fine line between tango, jazz, experimental “academic” music and free improvisation. It has released 3 albums, offered free workshops and premiered dozens of new compositions by composers from all over the US.

Also in 2018 the ensemble was integrated as a 501c3 organization. We are always thankful for your tax-deductible donations! Help us continue with our activities.

Since its inception, the ensemble has received the support of the University of Tennessee, the Nora Roberts Foundation, the Tennessee Arts Commission and the Bailey Grants among others.

UT Electroacoustic Ensemble

The University of Tennessee Electroacoustic Ensemble provides a unique platform for students to develop and design instruments while using them in a multidisciplinary performance setting. Now a chamber music class, the ensemble fosters the interaction between music majors and students from other disciplines. Since its inception, the ensemble has maintained active outreach goals; it has performed in many venues including the Electro-Music Festival in NY, Big Ears and has completed its first fully student-produced album Vantablack. The UT EE was invited to the 2020 CMS Southern Conference and the 2019 ISIM International Conference in Augsburg University.
